service 02 · organic social strategy

a plan that earns attention.

Most strategy decks die in a Google Drive. Ours don't. We build the plan, the shows and the metrics so your organic work actually pays off, then we hand you a document your team will keep open.

what we do

five things, in order.

A strategy is only useful if it tells your team what to make tomorrow. Each of these maps to a deliverable, a meeting, and a metric.

01

Audit the last 90 days.

We pull every post, every metric, every comment. We grade what worked, what didn't, and what your team thought worked but actually didn't. The audit is brutal on purpose. The rest of the work flows from it.

02

Write the positioning.

One page. Who you're for, what you make, the line you stand on. If your team can't recite it from memory, the plan won't ship. We rewrite this until it's that simple.

03

Build the show stack.

Three to five recurring shows. The named, repeating content franchises that carry the brand. Format, host, hook, frequency, signature beats. The show stack is what stops you starting from scratch every Monday.

04

Set the metrics.

The three numbers that matter. Not 47 KPIs. Three. We define them, set baselines, and put them on the wall in your Slack so you can't ignore them.

05

Hand it over.

One Notion doc. Your team owns it. We come back monthly for the first quarter to make sure it's getting used, not bookmarked.

+

What we don't do.

Brand books. Logo refreshes. Generic content pillars. 60-page decks. We make plans your team will use for 12 months, not show off in a board meeting once.

how we run it

the process, stage by stage.

Four weeks end to end. Two people from your team in the room. One strategist and one creative from ours. Async between meetings, never the other way around.

We don't do kickoff dinners or alignment workshops. The work starts on day one.

01AuditWeek 1

The brutal read.

We get raw access to your channels, ad account, and analytics. We map the last 90 days of content against engagement, follower velocity and intent signals. We grade the work, A through F, post by post. By the end of week one, you have an audit that says exactly what's working, what's not, and why.

02PositioningWeek 2

One page. Held against the wall.

We write three positioning options. We pressure-test them in a 90-minute working session with your founder and head of marketing. We pick one. We rewrite it until your team can recite it from memory. That's the brief for everything else.

Deliverable · Positioning one-pager
03ShowsWeek 3

Three franchises your team can run.

Format, host, hook, frequency, signature beats. We write pilot scripts for each. We shoot one. You decide which two of three survive into the live plan. The shows are not concepts. They are production-ready by the time we hand them over.

Deliverable · Show bibles + 1 pilot
04HandoffWeek 4

One doc. Your team owns it.

Everything. Audit, positioning, show bibles, metrics, the 90-day forward calendar. Lives in one Notion document. We do a 90-minute live walkthrough with your full team. Then we shadow your first three production weeks to make sure the doc is being used, not bookmarked.

"Most decks die in a Drive because they're written for the boardroom, not the team that has to ship on Monday. We write the opposite document."

how we charge

two shapes.

Strategy is priced per application. Every client sits differently, so we charge differently. Two ways to buy.

Option A

The strategy, standalone.

You buy the strategy. We walk your team through it. You leave with a fully mapped-out plan you can roll out yourselves.

  • Fixed scope
  • Built for your team to run
  • Handover walkthrough included

Option B

Strategy + execution.

Same strategy, then our team takes over and ships it. We build the roadmap for us to run alongside you. End to end.

  • Strategy then production
  • Our team carries the work
  • Monthly reviews · quarterly resets

questions we get a lot

the fine print.

How is this different from a brand strategy?
A brand strategy answers "who are we." A social strategy answers "what does the team make on Monday." We assume your brand work is done, or we'll happily refer you to people who do it well, and we focus on the operating system that turns it into weekly output.
Can we do this without committing to a retainer?
Yes. You can buy the strategy standalone. We hand the doc to your team and they run it. About 40% of strategy clients take it in-house. The other 60% ask us to keep producing.
Do you work with brands outside NZ and AU?
Yes. About a third of our strategy work is North American or UK. We run the same cadence on US-friendly hours when needed. Audit, positioning and show work translate cleanly across markets.
What if our team is small, just one or two social people?
That's the most common shape. We design the doc for a team of two to four. The show stack is sized around production capacity, not ambition. We'd rather you ship two shows weekly than fail to ship five.
How involved does our exec team need to be?
Three meetings. Audit reveal, positioning lock, final walkthrough. About 4 hours of exec time across the whole engagement. The day-to-day is with your social and content leads.
