today's the day I'm going to get this gearbox into my car with no Jack and then it's basically a video of me like under a car lifting a gearbox with my feet yeah um and that went viral well welcome to the podcast thanks for coming on why don't you quickly introduce yourself and then let's crack into it yeah awesome well my name is Louise I'm a Brazilian but I live in Australia and I'm a uni student and I work on cars as a hobby yeah nice I saw I saw so um where in Australia are you from I live in Brisbane oh yeah nice oh okay cool where about some Brisbane you don't have to give like details I've just moved over to the South

Side over in Forest Lake just recent oh yeah cool nice oh Forest Lake that's hilarious I live Forest Lake oh really yeah I used to live in Forest like [ __ ] what's the street I used to live on anyway I used to live in for us like that was funny for like a year or so yeah it's a bit far away from everything but we make it work it's fine it's fine I used to work there I used to work at the holiday in Brisbane holiday it's not there anymore the holiday's not there anymore it's at Roman Street Station I think it's called yeah spice hotel or something now I'm not sure um no idea have not heard of it I used to I used to

work at a hotel there but anyway this isn't about me this is about you so tell me um uh tell me a little bit about it like how did you get into this how did you get into start like working on cars as a hobby and two making content about it yeah um it's actually well I think it's a funny story so the car that I have it's called a Suzuki Sierra it's basically like the older version of the jimney the sexier version yeah and I bought the car with my ex and we saw it on Facebook Marketplace it was really cheap like $4,000 and then immediately same day we went and grabbed it and instead of like taking my neighbor who's a mechanic to

come check out the car I trusted my 19-year-old boyfriend at the time that he would be able to make you know a decision whether the car was in a good position or not yeah um bought the car we ended up breaking up and my neighbor who was a mechanic luckily was like you literally bought yourself a [ __ ] box like I don't know why you bought this thing I don't know why you paid so much for it um and then I was like I'm really stubborn and I was like I can either sell the cars like for parts and like make no money or I just like got to fix it and get a road worthy and then it's taken me like two years but now

the car's finally driving yeah okay cool yeah and like the way that I fell into content was like totally accidental um it was just one day basically backstory like my neighbor who's a mechanic he offered to help me but he was like I'm available for two weeks and I was like well I have University like I'm not free the next two weeks which is like regrets I should have just dropped everything and like fixed the car in two weeks but I didn't do that so basically me fixing the cars being really staggered and one day I was literally on the way to the beach hopped in my car my neighbor pulls out and he's like oh Lou I've got some free time and I was

like okay like let's do something let's work on the car just cuz like I like to have him there because so I don't break things you know it's like um and then that day for some reason like I just felt like I was in a goofy mood just felt like making a video and I made a video of me like flushing a radiator which is just like washing a radiator basically yeah and as soon as I posted it it went like what to me at the point in time was like viral um and I just thought it was like I didn't really think much of it I was like oh okay like cool and then I kept making like I used to make a lot

of like little travel content and stuff and then I posted another car video and it also blew up and I was like whoa what's happening and then you I started to see the pattern and like make more and more car videos and then I think the Banger was this one video of do you know much about cars Stanley I know enough to hold conversation okay um basically I pulled out the gearbox to change the CL in my car okay and I didn't have a Jack and the gearbox had just been sitting there for like 3 weeks just like watching me and I was procrastinating uni and today I was like today's the day I'm going to get this gearbox into my car with no Jack

and then it's basically a video of me like under a car lifting a gearbox with my feet um and that went viral like that was I think I got like 30,000 followers was from there and then from then on it's just like it's just growing and growing so that's where like I've gone into the niche of like me fixing my car yeah I love that that's so funny I mean I watched the videos obviously because you like stuff so it's pretty funny and I loved how like um it is like a real it's a real interesting Niche to get into for girls doing something that is like a predominantly like male orientated activity right like it seems like it's a male thing yeah so like

when women do it it's like I can imagine that like you the people who are watching there's like a big portion of me just going oh my God here's this is like our dreams come true yeah is that true yes yes there's I get a lot of like um can I get M like can can you marry me and I'm like no so funny I love that it cracks me up because of like it's just so typical of guys on social media like they just all give us bad names like soon as we get given like here's an opportunity to not be a dick and then we got followers like I've got some nice ones and I've got some really sus ones of course of

course you know honestly like the thing like in content like the creat a world there's always it doesn't matter what content you make there's going to be something right like I don't know if you've seen on like Instagram strategy at the moment like joy and our team's like tiing water on her head right and like it's real stupid she's like it's winter here so like she's dressed up and clothes and like it there's just a bunch of guys getting in it like you should do that in a white T-shirt you all the boys things and blah blah blah and it's just like come on guys like she's a [ __ ] hoodie she's in a hoodie like um but it's quite funny because like did you do

you think about that I want to ask this question honestly because like when you think about it like is that when you're looking at like building the audience do you use that to your advantage like do you use it to well if I'm going to do this and do this well like and this is this is like how much do you tow the line to make sure that how do I press on that to make people come back do you think about that or you just do what you do and it happens um I think I've like briefly thought about it because I definitely want to so I think the funny thing is like as you've watched my videos um the two videos that went

viral I was was in a bikini and obviously people that don't know me they assume that like she's doing it for the show whereas I was genuinely like it's hot in Australia like yeah don't wear yeah it's like men don't wear clothes when they're working on cars like I'm a hot like it gets hot you know um so that was all by accident but obviously like I can see that it's like it gains an audience um but I also don't want to cuz I never thought of really like building my Instagram into something like I purely just did it for the fun but then as this started becoming a reality like the possibility of making it into something that's where I've been like well I

don't want to be the naked girl working on cars you know so it's kind of like I've got to start I guess building that image that I want to be put out there and that's why like I'm trying to build more of like a a community yeah yeah can use to my advantage oh this is funny yeah I don't know if you've read the comments not all of them not all of them the biggest Advantage are the people who are into my feet oh that is the best that is the best many people commenting being like we're not here for the car we're here for the feet that is it it is one of those fetishes that feet feish people are like all in on

feet doesn't matter what else you do just just give me the fee yeah that one I will use to my advantage for sure yeah that is really funny that is actually really funny um okay I want to ask about the community piece there so yeah what does that mean to you to grow a community and doing it what what how are you doing that and what what are you see it becoming yeah so I think the type of community that I want to build is like because obviously you got like you would have like your primary and your secondary and I want to kind of like because I've built this Niche that I kind of got stuck on and I want to like Warden it

a bit more to like there is so much more to me that I just can't show within this Niche um so one thing is like being a girl and working on cars like I want to attract more of that audience and like teaching girls how to work on cars as well as like exploring and adventuring and like like getting over hard things like fixing a car by your is very hard you know so that's the community that I want to build I definitely is not the community that I have now but that's where I want to go towards yeah okay gotcha I um I talked to a lot of people about this similar thing was like I want to do this sort of content because

this is where I want to hit to but this is the thing that works so I need to like keep doing this at the moment and I sort of I have like two opinions on that like the first or two solutions maybe like the first one is if you really want to do this other thing then just do it and you'll find a way to make that work it might just take a little bit of time to get it go get it to go but like you just got to do it you just got to bite the bullet understand that you might get less viewership for a little bit until you find it because the algorithm doesn't know where to send it because it was

sending it to these guys before now they don't really care and then it's now trying to find the other audiences but the good thing about these um these algorithms now is that they actually do it pretty well like they're pretty good at finding these other audiences regardless of who's previous audience and so it's either just do it just don't worry about it you might go for a period of time where you just get like worse views [ __ ] too bad because you might you probably enjoy this other audience better in the long term so just do that so that'll be my first advice it's like [ __ ] it just go for it the other one is like um you can have more than one profile and you

can do the other things right and so you can like double down on the girl who fixes cars and and like all the things you can learn about that and do all the cool stuff and sure you're in Brisbane keep wearing a bikini doing it and you might grow a massive audience and you can monetize It Whatever start a feat finder account who knows um yeah go for it um but once you build it big enough like you get to a certain size audience which like to be fair is like in the millions right you get to a big enough audience in the millions that like it doesn't matter then you get such a high number of residual viewership no matter what you put out

that you can still build a side story that which is all the other things that you do right and you'll see a lot in YouTubers like YouTubers will like spend 10 years building one Niche they'll just go after one thing all the time and then they get like three million subs and then they start doing these side shoots because they're like I'm more than this I do all this other stuff it's like yeah cool but if you do it too early no one cares but now that you're big enough they want to see every aspect of your life and like Mr Beast a real good example because like Mr Beast like no one gave a shirt in the beginning now they all give a [ __ ]

now he can put literally any video out he wants and he get a 100 million views on it yeah because now they want to know everything there is about Mr Beast and even when he does his podcast appearances on other people's content that will then also go off because people will just want to see it so my advice is like one or the other is like double down on the niche you got now run it to the extreme because it'll grow faster and just go for it and then when it gets to a certain thing yes you have lots of other parts to your personality and who you are but actually like you're also like how old are you I'm 21 yeah so like [ __ ]

off you've got like 60 70 years left like get [ __ ] like do you've got time like [ __ ] off you know like you're fine and so you can do that or you can just do the other thing too because you're also 21 and if it takes you two years to get back to even where you are now by doing the thing you love you're 23 so also [ __ ] off like you're still only 23 like when I was 20 23 is when I lived in Forest Lake I'll tell you that much um so I like I think about it like that like you don't like one you don't need to rush if you really do want to change it but two why not like why not double

down on this other Niche because if you let's say you had a million followers doing this Niche that you're currently in you have no idea what you'll be doing at that point like you'll have no trust me like the path it takes to get to 1 million followers doing bikini girl fixes cars that Niche you trust me you have no clue the opportunities that will come like just no idea you can't even imagine them right now that's how crazy it'll get so like my advice is like pick one like if you really want to make other content then just do it yeah too bad or start another account yeah um I have another account specifically for that that I can like grow the things the

other thing that concerns me about the whole like bikini girl fixing a car is like would that affect my ability to get like sponsorships and brand deals and stuff like that there's definitely an element of um if you're too sexualized yeah there's going to be Brands who just won't work or something if if if you if they feel that you're doing it as a sexualization of the the content if you start to make it like you are you're doing it because that's actually just who you are and that's what you do in you're in Brisbane and people get it and you can tow that line and you're not like do you're not always just doing it for the clicks like you are there's a purpose

behind it no you can make it work because at the end of the day what are the brands there's only like I reckon there's only two lines of Brands will probably work with that niche of an account and it's going to be the car brands like not not like not Toyota but like yeah you know um [ __ ] what is it over in uh Australia but like you know like super cheap auto yeah it's going to be like super cheap boto or even like the brands of like motor oil and like you know different like little tiny brands that sell inside super cheap auto yeah are G to do it get behind it it's gonna be that sort of stuff or it's going to be something

weird around racing like how do cars get used right racing or like I don't know [ __ ] monster trucks or some stupid [ __ ] dumb thing like that it's going to be like that like it's going to be like those are the brands who are going to go Bikini Kill fixing cars whole bunch of men watching this let's put our brand in front of all those men this is good right so gonna be that or it's going to be like there's a real interesting play at like going after Dove or like sirra V or like you know like these brands that are like cleaning because you you're getting filthy [ __ ] fixing the car fact right and the other thing with like Dove Dove's real big on diversity

and like expressing yourself and not being ashamed of who you are as a woman and like all these brand values that you're like you're not sexualizing it you're like no I'm just I come in Brisbane it's [ __ ] hot I'm working on a car it's [ __ ] hot and now I need to clean myself so yeah I I use Dove I'm a dove and brand ambassador right I am a dove girly how did you know I I 100% did not know that but but that makes sense right like it's like you see how that's how like both of those sorts of niches won't C that you're in a bikini yeah but also don't don't just be in a bikini to be in a bikini like that's not

yeah no no unless you're going to like there's nothing like if you watch any of my um this podcast like I've definitely had plenty of creators on this podcast who would do that and they would sell the result of that and you know they have their only fans and they do their thing um yeah so there's nothing wrong with I mean those girls all make stupid money so I mean power to them right like I [ __ ] love it that's why I have podcast because they're actually like rolling in it but uh I guess my point is is that like you don't unless you're going to go down that route where you are doing the sexualization of it then lean right into it don't half ass

it like that I guess that's what I'm trying to say like don't half ass the thing you're either you're in a bikini or you're in the outfit you're in because it makes sense of what you're trying to do and fixing the car or you're in it because of the other thing right like you pick one like don't don't just be like oh I want to put some extra views because my views are down because then that's just a cheap trick right and it gets tiring yeah yeah yeah um so tell me like you joked about the feet thing so are you actually joking about it or is that something that you've got on the works no I like I've actually made a feat finder account

because like I think for me is like that's one thing that I'm with is my feet like yeah man if they want to see my feet they can go on any video and like just watch my feet and the thing is like I think it's so funny I posted one video which I didn't even notice my feet it's me just fueling up my car and that one's gone on the feet people just crazy they've gone crazy um yeah like that's something I'm comfortable selling like photos of my feet like yeah I don't know and you started that um no I've set up the account but my goal is for next week to actually go and because I don't know if you know this but there's

lots of different um how do I say categories of feet photos I do not know this I have not looked enough into it yeah so I'm gonna go ham and like do all the different categories like one for everyone go ham so funny um I'm I'm out for it like I I think that that being able to sell that sort of stuff to people CU like what does it cost to do like it's literally cost you nothing to do but like people people love it it's real it's a real weird thing but um my advice on that then is like how do you before you just launch it how do you hype it up like how do you start putting out some content like without

really pointing towards it that's just like you get the feet frenzy going on the whole from voting thing was going to be the that's like the second mission you know cuz my plan was just I have so many people in my DMs just request got it I was just gonna do it more of like a oh funny enough here's a link private got it got it that's smart that's smart so you gotta be mindful of that is like especially on Instagram is like Instagram if you you got to be really unique with your messaging back because if you start sending this link out to everyone and will ban you from sending more DMS oh okay yeah you can't just send mass DM links to people

you've got to be like it's got to be legitimate conversations which it is kind of because you got people messaging you but just be mindful don't just do a copy paste thing like actually message people back and then go oh by the way if you want a link I can give it to you and then have it because you they will just like block you from sending DMS oh yeah because then it becomes like a spammy thing right like actually what they will think happened is what they will think is that your account got hacked and then now someone's sending all these spam links to these guys to get money out of them because that happens all the time right that makes a lot of

sense yeah that happens all the time veryable wow well you know it's really funny because my wife like got her account recreated like someone stole her image and everything on her photos and then started dming all her contacts um do you want to like sign up to my only fans and like people were like like like her brother and her dad and like all sorts of people like her cousins and like we're getting these messages because they this person obviously didn't know who everyone was yeah and yeah like it like really affected her because she's like oh this is gross and I was like it's not you though like it's just some random person but like she was still like yeah but that's embarrassing and

I was like yeah but like it wasn't you didn't send those messages but people like win and just sent out but then it got it got stopped because obviously Instagram saw them keep seeing these things got shut it down so just say to be mindful of um is there a reason like do you not want to do it because is there an element of like you don't want publicly like everyone to know that you've done it um no like I'm comfortable having like a like a link tree and having like a link to it there like I'm comfortable doing that as well like I have no shame I think it's like if I can make money off of taking photos of my feet like shut

the [ __ ] up like what are you doing working on 9 to5 go [ __ ] yourself like you know that is so good you know the craziest thing is that like I honestly if you're okay with it you should definitely like build it up I think you should build the hype like plan out a Content series which like doesn't talk about it just like gets the feet frenzy going like doesn't quite show them enough you know like you do a certain amount of videos where they get and you just have the link in there and don't say anything about it and they'll just find way they'll find their way that's what we do for living right that's what we do for living we just don't do it

for feet finder picks we do it for like burgers and [ __ ] mobile phone contracts like you know but like but seriously like you do that and then like people start getting this frenzy about it going [ __ ] I really want to see the whole foot because they're like whatever um I like we've seen we've talked to people before who have like G who've done I mean they've done only fans or whatever not necessarily feet finder guys but like I mean they'll get like a thousand people subscribe in one one video like a thousand people like you do a $10 sub you just made 10 grand yeah it's crazy it's stupid stupid money yeah I don't know a bit over one% like just one% that's a technically

a lot 1% to keep doing it like actually it's like quite a lot but I think you can because you've already got them asking for it so it'll probably happen Long Way well fucku that is funny and then you just reinvested into new cars so you can make keep making more content that's what I want to do I love it you should um so outside of feetfinder because that's one thing the thing with feet finder is that it that will hurt your ability to get brand deals whilst you're small so that's something to be mindful of is that um that's that starts the sexualization of the content which brands don't like and so the only Brands who will really get into it are going to

be the smaller independent brands that have Founders who are okay to take a risk because they want the audience that you've got yeah right so like there will be particular brands that sell car related products that are independent small Brands there'll be a whole bunch of them in Australia like guys who make or people who make a certain type of product whatever it might be might be like certain types of I don't know mag mags or wheel covers or like types of lubricant or like air fresheners or seat covers or [ __ ] whatever dumb [ __ ] that people buy for their cars and then they own by an independent person who can make the decision to go no we'll sponsor you right those guys don't really care

about the sexualization of stuff because they're like usually Challenger Brands who are willing to do crazy [ __ ] to get their product out there so all you do for those people is just message them like you just message all of them you've got the audience you just message them yeah and then you just need to understand how to charge for it which is something yeah I was gonna ask have you ever done or been have you ever been asked to man like make any content yeah I have well the people that I approach me are more like hey if you we'll give you like 60% off our product if you make a video about it and I'm like I will never buy your product so I'm

not gonna spend money on it you know I'm a cheap gu yeah that's so dumb hate Brands you do that um okay so that makes sense so okay so when you go to Brands like when you reach out to them they're going to want to know a few things they're going to know want to know like obviously who you are how many followers you got your links and everything um and then they're going to want to know like a little bit about demographic and yours is gonna be easy to understand about demographic they're GNA look at it go okay got it so one thing with my demographic though which I've been told like I did get approached by an agency but because of my so

30% of my audience is American yeah um and there's only like it's a very low amount that's actually Australian doesn't matter yeah okay okay just because this we need it to be 30% Australian I was like okay well sucks to be you then it doesn't need to how many how much is it American I mean how much of it is Australian 30% let me see 30% is Australian oh no no 30% is American and then is that your largest yes yeah so then go after American brand 5% Australia yeah so then go to American brands you know or go after Australian brands that sell globally you like you you want to align with brands that will actually serve your audience like who is going to

buy your stuff like where are these audiences like where in America are they what sort of brands are in those States like do the research on who do you think best aligns with your brand like for you like like we said like car parts or car Affiliated products or you know how how much your audiences female is it even in double digits no no it's I was going to say that is [ __ ] hilarious a I don't know six 5.5 yeah that's so funny um yeah I wouldn't I wouldn't imagine so um if so then then like the female products are going to be harder for you at the moment so or like the Dove and whatever ever but what the way to get the dove

if you want that St like lean to that sort of product like um like personal care products the way that you would do it is that you would start to do more and more content alongside it that then sort of like appeals to woman like start to do like you talked about like starting to talk to to girls about like how to fix their own car actually there's a creator that does like um like Finance bro talk to girls like she like dumps it's like Legally Blonde but like for finance talk and so she like dumbs it down I think it's like bimbo Finance or something stupid like that she plays a character she's like [ __ ] with everyone but she like talks to woman about

Fin like if you if you need to know this [ __ ] and hold your conversation with one of the finance Bros this is what you say and she blew up she's like a millions of followers now over I think she's New York or something but if you do like a similar concept where you start talking to women about what you need to know about cars and how to fix them like teaching women how to like change their break pets or some [ __ ] like that you know like and you use like funny jokes that only women sort of understand and get you'll start to build a female audience because then the girls will get on your back and side because they'll be like this is funny we

get it we see what she's doing and play like lean into the character then you start to grow the female audience right like you'll find a way to talk to them like what do they why would girls want to watch a girl pix cars you know like you got to think like that we don't need men in our lives exactly that's it or actually even better is it is people love being able to hold a conversation right so it's the reason why the Gen Z slang videos go viral because Millennials like I want to learn the genz slang so I can hold my own with the genz at work that's what it's about or like it was the same for Millennials when we were Instagram

right when we took when Instagram took off a Millennials owned that platform the Gen X's was the same thing they wanted to understand what Millennials cared about because they wanted be able to hold a conversation so girls learning the stuff that they typically have no interest in or usually don't have an interest in now knowing stuff that they can go to their Partners or husbands or friends and like go oh you don't know how to change break pads like what sort of man are you you know like you know like that sort of thing that sort of content works really well where you can teach an audience um that typically wouldn't understand the stuff all the stuff that they need to know so they can

talk to everyone else about it so then you build out your female audience if you want to do that that's one way but then you just go to the brands that like a line of that and you just message them and be like look this who I am this is what it is and then the way that they charge for it is a couple ways but um the uh the the typical way for a lot of like International Brands is they just have like tears you know once you are over a certain followership they like increase your tears on what you can offer but um and there's no real way to gauge where people are you have to decide on like what's my limit and

what am I willing to to um charge for this and so typically what I say to people is that there's two ways to look at it you either go I need money so I'm gonna just do it at whatever rate I can get it at because I want the money coming in or two I've got money to sustain myself or enough to live on I I'm going to build this properly and better and then you charge like a lot like you charge like quite a lot of money and most brands will turn you down to begin with but then as you continue to build your audience they eventually can't ignore you you know they're eventually going to be like [ __ ] every like we have to

sponsor the girl because she's blinding up everywhere right I get so annoyed at that though GNA get to like um because I had I had super cheap cont me um yeah and they were like basically like saying that like you know got my eyes on you and I'm like okay like help your girl out and they haven't so now I'm like the day that they want to I'm going to be like maybe yeah do it you know what just go on with big numbers just like add a zero on like I'll tell you I'll tell you something like there was a um if I was like like your size account um we have a Creator at the moment who's going to do a Ser like

10 videos with us for a brand he's about actually he's smaller than you because he's only got his Tik Tok with about the same as your what Your Tik Tok is and we're paying him 15 grand I think for 10 videos with him yeah wow and it's pretty small right like that's a pretty small Creator like relatively like 50k is not a lot these days on Tik Tok like that's pretty easy to get for a lot of people but he's got a really engaged audience and the type of content that he makes aligns with the client brand that we've got really well so it's perfect fit so that's the thing Brands want right like they don't really care how big you are they want to

know have you got The Right audience and are you talking about the right thing that our product integrates really nicely with yeah and so that's what you're trying to find you're trying to find brand so if super Che comes to you and they want to do videos like I wouldn't be going less than 1500 to 2K a video and and then if they want to post it on your account even more so he doesn't post them on his account he posts them that's for our client as ugc yeah okay yeah so then now if they want for video that's how much money be making oh that's the small end town bro holy [ __ ] so there's a Creator in the US he's granted they have they

had 11 million followers when we um across all their platforms when we met them and they if you know any of the big big New York creators female New York creators you'll know who I'm talking about but anyway there's a big New York Creator we met her and I'm not going to say who it is but she was charging $45,000 a video holy [ __ ] yeah it's big money right like if you think about it from a Brand's perspective let's say I sold I sold Nike shoes right I'm selling I'm Nike I sell Air Force ones I'm doing a brand deal with someone 5 million people saw this and then a percentage of those people went and bought it if if you think about like appar

they say Nik cost 200 bucks for $45,000 video what would I have to sell like 200 and something pairs of shoes yeah okay does the conver matter it doesn't matter it matters on your ability to get them to buy again right so like if you if they do a deal with you and no one converts you're not going to get a second deal yeah like you're just not going to get it that's why it's really important to find brands that you align with which is why I'm saying to you like if you go into like some [ __ ] cool product in the car space that's actually [ __ ] cool and everyone should have one and then you make a video about it it's so align to what

you do that then people might go and buy it and then you'll get a big conversion and then the brand will come back and be like [ __ ] you like we paid you five grand or two say they paid you two grand they paid we paid you two grand you made us 50 can we do more yeah makes sense and so often Brands will do like a deal which is here's a fee plus a percentage so they might offer you a slightly lower fee for like maybe a thousand bucks and then about a percentage of sales so they might give you like two 3% of all the sales that you make and that's sometimes really good if you get the right product um because you you're

going to sell you know 10,000 units of something so you'd rather take 1% of all of that so there's ways to broker that deal as well but initially if I was you um because you're not sure how your conversion works I would be just taking the money up front even if it's you think you can even if the company ends up making way more money and you could have made more money you don't know until you've got that data so it's no wor it's not worth risking and just say that to the client like because like a lot of companies be like oh well if it was going to work then why don't you take a percentage you'll make more money and you just like

my reply to them all the time is like why do you want me to do that like if you don't think this is going to work why are you doing this like go away then like I don't need your money if you want to do it do it partner with me pay me what I'm worth and if and you keep the upside like why are you complaining you know yeah so and and and just like when you're real confident like that as well Brands like they'll either they'll either just give you a no straight away which is a good thing because then you can move on or they'll go [ __ ] okay that they they just now need to put the money with their mths you

know what I mean so so I think for a brand new size like you 140k across your two profiles um I don't see any reason why you couldn't be off asking for 1500 to 2K per video like that's pretty normal that's pretty normal like in Australia especially that's pretty normal and if you're going after American brands that's an American that's in US dollars damn okay yeah I see we're talking now it's you know what like it's real funny hearing you because like so Joanie in Al team right so Janie Al has like 600 and something thousand followers on her personal account and like for her she was getting about $1,500 a deal $1,200 a deal and I was like and she thought it was great

and I was like what the [ __ ] is that all you're getting like cuz it HS I was like usually be minimum like five six grand a pop minimum if not more depending on which country you're in because in New Zealand like the fees are pretty [ __ ] but like yeah um I was like you you need to get more money than that she was like oh [ __ ] I don't know and then anyway she asked one of the clients she was like look I'm not going to do this for less than seven and they're like yep fine wow got seven Grand yeah wow yeah and then but that's what it's worth because her audience is super engaged she gets a lot of viewership and the brand alignment

was really good like it was a really good brand alignment so it was worth it for the company too like it was not a bad deal for them yeah do you think you said to like contact like smaller businesses do you think it's like would it be harder to get them to spend that amount of money I think there's a difference between small and independent I think those are two I I use the word small but then I changed it to independent and the reason I use independent is because you're often talking to the business owner directly but doesn't mean they're small so they might still be turning over three four5 million a year maybe 20 yeah but um they're still independently run by the

owner as opposed to like super cheap auto which is not like there's a whole board and SE suite and every one and you're talking to a marketing manager and the marketing manager um you either get two ways they either just have a budget that they can spend and what you essentially do is just like what's your budget tell me what it is and if you don't want to tell me then [ __ ] off like like either work with me what's your budget and I'll I'll make use of it or they just um they just like we just do it they'll just be like yeah [ __ ] it we like you and they'll just on a whim just make a decision but with business owners the difference with

them is that they are it's their money they understand it they don't have brand guidelines to deal with because it's their brand they can do whatever they want and so you don't want to get a brand that's too small because the two smaller Brands don't have the money to pay for it yeah but then you don't want to get it too big in corporate in your style of content if you you know depending on where your Niche sits especially if you do put the feed finder out there like they're just not going to take it because they're gonna be like a look we can't we can't align to that but you take like um you take a brand that's like5 million in turnover every year

revenue and then they it's by the same person you're talking directly to them or their their marketing team they can just make the decision because it's their money they can do what they want that's why I reckon when you should what you should be doing my long-term thought for you is that if you got these other ideas of content then grow those more wholesome I guess content Styles and in those that sort of content if you really want to monetize those like don't swear don't do anything like be real brand friendly yeah you can't if you want to go after like the big deal like you can't you can't do it like we no one will ever sponsor my content cuz I swear all the

[ __ ] time that's gonna be tough wow so yeah you just gotta you just gotta like what you got to do is like you just have two Brands you go on this brand potty mouth on this brand I'm I'm I'm good I'm wholesome like you'll never see Mr Beast swear or do anything wrong because he only cares about advertisers wow okay that's a good thing to think about have to start training you just have to edit it out facts I forgot dick you can also like just bleep it you can bleep it out that's fine or just like completely cut the word out yeah just completely cut it out um yeah okay so what do you think um like what is the big long go with

sort of brand building like where do you really want it to go if you're thinking about your content and your brand itself yeah I think okay I've had a lot of thought about this um if I am to monetize it like I know that working on cars is not forever like that's just I love it right now but it's not a forever thing so I would I think I could you know like use this to my advantage work on cars until you know x amount of time and then have that backup account where I can just like transition to that once I'm like okay well cars I'm done with cars you know um CU yeah I'm not going to be like 30 years old you

know with three kids working on cars at least I don't think so but um so I have had the thought of like working on this car so my big problem was like I like I finished the car but I don't have the content because my content only pops off after i' finished it so I've got like that's why you see a lot of the same content and now that I'm back because I've been overseas for three months now that I'm back now I'm like okay well I need to do something out of it but I don't have the funds to go and buy a new car right now so what I'm going to do is just work on the whole like Aesthetics of the car

so like repainting the whole car redoing the whole interior and make that and my hopes is that by doing that I can I'll be able to get some more brand deals to then you know get my chain of cars coming um and I have also thought of like potentially like thinking of a product to sell myself um but then that's where like it gets a little bit trickier because then I'll have to look at manufacturing and stuff like that but the table I think that like the building your own product thing is um it's like the final stage of monetization like it's the final final frontier like the the first thing is getting paid for the content itself so like add Revenue kind of thing

like I mean you're in Australia so I don't know I I don't even know if Australia at the moment um but like you know some platforms pay Facebook Instagram Tik Tok I don't think pays in Australia but YouTube pays right yeah like putting your content on those platforms do you put your content on YouTube as well no so I'm going to start that now that I'm back yeah you should definitely run out all the videos you got all the ones you know worked run them all out on YouTube shorts for sure just run the whole campaign out um YouTube shorts is very much full of men it's a very male dominated platform trust me um but so there's the first that's like first TI of

like generating revenue for yourself is like getting those sorts of deals right getting paid by the um the platform itself and then like the second tier is like the sponsorship thing where you get oh the second tier is Affiliates where like you don't even need to get a deal you can just like products that you use in your videos you can put a link in your bio for people to buy from Amazon right and that's affiliate program and then you get a percentage of the sale that's that's something you can do tomorrow that's you just sign up to the Amazon affiliate program or you go to certain brands and you sign up to affiliate program you have a link tree it has products that use

with the Affiliates you can do that like literally tonight you could just like set that up it's really easy to do yeah the Amazon affiliate program is the biggest affiliate program in the world and people like there are millionaires being made on that program like people make Stupid Money on like you know all those like review like channels that review products that's how they make all their money that's what this whole affiliate marketing is I've always skipped through those videos yeah like it's like there's like two types of affiliate marketing there's the people who make content that's really valuable and therefore give you a link to go buy the thing that you actually were going to buy anyway you just needed to watch the review

to get the one that you wanted and there's like the affiliate marketing that just like literally doing it as business is bit scummy and salesy but like it is what it is they still good make good money and some of them make stupid money so that's second tier third tier is sponsorships and I'm getting paid by Brands to promote a product so that's like what talking about today now that's a little bit harder so like I reckon that you'd like message 100 brands get one deal seriously it's it's hard but once you start getting a few of them it'll get a bit easier you get a bit more confident with it um once Brands know that you do brand deals then more of them will

ask to do brand deals as well um a trick you can do is like go do brand Deals they just make brand content and then when Brand's like what have you done before be like oh I've see this video that popped up I did it in conjunction with this brand they don't [ __ ] know they have no [ __ ] idea that you just made it up right so like shows that you are doing this already oh yeah and that brand paid me three grand for that video like wellow actually I have to just believe you because I have no other evidence that you're lying so yeah sure little unethical but anyway this is only going to be public on the internet um and then um so that's

like that's like sponsorships right and then the fourth t so that's the one you're probably like most likely going to go to the fourth tier is selling a service where like you know like like that's what we do right we sell a service so like we're we're actually a a creative agency so we make content for Brands and their strategies and all that and so we put out content people come to us pay us a whole bunch of money to do that thing for them and it's it's the fourth tier of stuff because like it's big ticket items right like Brands will pay us I don't know 150 to 500,00 a year to like run their [ __ ] and so we make lots of money in

these but we do lots of work for it as well like there's a lot of men man labor time and so for you that could look like for instance you might have like like classes on teaching girls how to like fix their cars or some [ __ ] like you know mechanics class for girls or whatever like some [ __ ] [ __ ] like whatever I'm just making up some stuff um so it could be that but then the fifth tier is product and it is the hardest but product is the biggest reward because you can sell it to infinity and that's why only fans and feet finder took off because it's a product it's not a service you make one digital content piece and you sell that one piece

as many times as you want and so the product is the best one you want but the reason why it's the hardest here is that unless it's digital there's a whole cost of production there's a whole manufacturing process and that can cost [ __ ] loads of money and if you make something [ __ ] then people are and you won't get repeat customers because it's just cheap [ __ ] yeah and or you get a contract manufacturer someone else who manufactures it for you but then your margins are small on it and like still again it cost a lot of money set up or you do a digital product but often digital products like they either are going to be only fans or feet finder or they're going to be

like online courses or like [ __ ] like that which are they're also a bit scummy and scammy and people don't love them so quite hard to do yeah yeah I have an idea though for a product yeah yeah so I've always wanted to do like have you ever tried to read like a car manual no no it's like gibberish it's like I don't like a man clearly made it because it makes no sense and it's like there is no order like nothing it's so unorganized so I was thinking of like producing one which is like a how to fix a car for dummies type of vibe um y where it's like things just make sense and you know you got nice cartoons some characters like that's

like one thought and I never thought of making it digital for some reason but oh yeah something like that you definitely make it digital because you just make it once and you don't have to worry about manufacturing I would tell you right now that the better thing to do this is the thing people are always trying to get money fast they're trying to monetize as fast as possible you have like I don't know what do do you do do anything else for work yeah yeah um I just leared a project managing job parttime I do University okay so if you don't need the money desperately like you and you don't because one you live in Australia you've already got part-time job you're at University and

so you're you're 21 but honestly like you're fine like you know like just the fact that you live in Australia means you're already in the 1% of the world right because Australian is wealthy it's a wealthy country right and you're in Brisbane you got nothing to complain about it's probably sun outside get [ __ ] like it's fine you're good so well who knows but um my point is is that if you don't need the money desperately hold on monetizing as long as possible and like just build audience right just build audience because the the the the point at which you enter the market is now your Baseline and it's real hard to move up from Baseline gets really hard to add like like cost and revenue

to it so if you go for brand deals and you started getting like 2,000 a video like amazing at $2,000 a video it's so hard to get that to 20 one just your mental state won't allow you to do it because you're like [ __ ] how do I charged him 20 grand I was only charged him two grand before like how do I like just mentally you don't know how to do it so instead like if you just wait and wait and wait and you just like turn down all the brand deals and then eventually someone comes to like no I really want to work with you I'll give you 50 Grand and you're like all right right that's my entry point like because you're at

10 million follow exactly right because then now you're in demand you've got the demand side coming at you and then so what I would do if that like that manuals for dummies that is the [ __ ] best content series you could ever do okay because you think that's how you get the girls on your side now you've got the girls and the guys because what the guys are going to do you already know the guys gonna be like oh you stupid woman like it's just this and then you get all the girls going thank you so much that's so great and then you'll get this like dichotomy of like audience just run it as a Content series give it all the way for free okay make

the asset and just give it so then what it happens is like people are consuming your content more and more you're growing faster and faster it becomes a [ __ ] good content series it takes off and then brands are like desperate to work with you and you're like look I don't really work with a lot of Brands but if you do like my entry price is 20 grand I don't really need you but please give me money yeah yeah you got to be like real cool C and collected and then be like when you get away from like holy [ __ ] I just got 20 grand yeah I just got like half a year salary literally yeah so my ADV is like say sorry what was that

sorry no that's great to know I've got a I've got a question yeah um would you say doing series like in terms of growing my audience um would you say series is like a good way to do it yeah yeah for sure storyline we call it storyline content so you run out of storyline like you would in a normal TV show like you have um a certain task or like conflict that you're trying to overcome in the series and it's like the path to do it each video that you make has to have its own little mini conflict inside each video and then if it's over a series there's a big main conflict over the whole thing so for instance in your in your world

the obvious thing is like the main one is the car I've got a new car that I'm I'm I'm fixing up and then you'll have like these Min series of like okay first of all I've like got to strip it down like I've got to rip everything out and fix it all up or whatever right so that's one little series and then each little video is you doing one of the specific tasks right so you're doing specific task for a specific part of the the renovation or like the rebuild and then the whole big big series is the whole car project so um and then you just keep moving along and doing that and then people would come along to watch each part of that

thing okay so really break it down into small sections like if you think about the one where you're like holding the the um gearbox up right um that's like one challenge you had in amongst the whole thing that's the single video but that video could have been about the whole putting the engine back together right or all the pieces to the the car like putting all the mechanics back into the car that's the whole 12 part series or whatever 15 part series and each each part of that series was like an individual challenge you had to overcome yeah and then so and then your overarching storyline is there I fix one big car I personally think like if if you were um like if you

on our team like CU a lot of our team are created business as well right if you're on my team my advice to you honestly would be like potentially just do the feet finder thing because you don't mind doing it and you can make a quick Buck but use that quick buck as capital to buy your next car so You' got your second series ready right because you'll probably make like you'll probably do 10 20 grand like in the first week because of how stupid feetfinder people are you'll probably do it and then once you do that so you've got enough from that you might just keep it going because it's like a subscription thing and fine you've got some money coming in it might

it'll drop off eventually but a little bit of money you've got your other job that you've got and then focus on just building audience like stop trying to like oh I've got a few people I should make all this money because what happens with those people who do that at that level you'll make a bunch of money and then you'll fall off and then no one will know who you are and you just sold out your brand and instead I would say to you just make as bigger audience as possible and that content series about becoming the dummy you know like fixing a car for dummies perfect every time you have an idea of like teaching people stuff turn it into content series instead and

just like try get to a million followers just tell your audience you want to get to a million followers to people don't tell the audience enough like I want to be at a million like this is what I'm trying to do this is my task and then people know they're like okay cool I get what you're trying to do I'm gonna I want to help you or not help you if I want to help you I'll hit follow okay that's it yeah million followers da D I think one thing that it works I guess not yeah I guess scares me a little bit is like um CU I follow a lot of people that I actually don't care about that I'm just like oh I

cared for you like at one point Swip you know what I mean but I still follow them is like how do I keep my content still engaging that like people are actually like consuming it um that's that's a good question I think that it's natural for um for humans to like in the content world to always find the next thing and the new thing and so the way to keep your audience engaged is to keep having new challenges and new things right and so like you might go from doing a few cars different types of cars better cars different cars harder cars to a boat you might do a boat next time right you might do a plane at one stage like you don't know

like who [ __ ] knows like you might end up building a rocket ship I don't you know so the idea is that you keep leveling up the stakes and what you're doing right yeah and so you never know where it could go but that's how you keep people engaged because they're like oh cool this is cool and then you might just like what are the tangents so then you might get into the pece with like you're so well known you go hey I'm going to go work with Red Bull as they fix their car that had a crash on the weekend and we're going to [ __ ] get it back on the track right so then now that's a cool series because like I used to watch

you fix your own little car in your garage and now I'm getting to watch you work on the Red Bull Formula One car that's [ __ ] sick I was hear from the beginning I love to watch you do that Louise that's awesome you know like that's the way that you keep it going yeah but you've also got to understand that like if you don't keep adapting the content people will get bored and go away like yeah absolutely I use um I Ed the I use the rock as an example so I I always followed the rock I used to watch The Rock when I was a kid like wrestling and all this sort of stuff and now on Instagram like I never see his posts I

never see his [ __ ] because I just don't care for it anymore because I'm like I know who you are like there's nothing really that you I'll go watch a new movie maybe maybe I don't know I haven't seen the last few but like it's just because you get over it like you got nothing new to give to me anymore yeah okay because he hasn't adapted yeah yeah yeah what else um I had another question and I just forgot give me one second it will come through this is my 21y old brain it's really good um damn it oh doesn't matter if it comes back you can message me and I'll ask oh yeah good oh definitely Stanley I'm so sorry you have my email now

I will be emailing [Laughter] you um what are your thoughts on like recreating series because one thought that I had was like because I don't have the money to buy a car right now was to like cuz I'm really big on like upcycling so like buying small things and then selling it and then getting bigger things and then one of them was like get to the point where I can buy like a veser and like renew the veser resell it and then like work up towards the car yeah great I mean the whole idea of upcycling is like it's super popular and the repairing of the car selling it and then buying the next one and doing it again there's two really cool things about

it one like it's a really like people love it like that hobby of like upcycling is like so many people have it like so many people love to do that as a as a thing so that's one you get a good audience because of it because people like oh that's cool I should do that but I can't be [ __ ] I'll just watch Louise do it right that's that people love that and then but the thing is that you'll eventually build a big enough audience that when you go to sell the car or the visper or whatever you'll have an audience ready to buy it and you'll buy you'll sell it above Market because people aren't buying the car or the visper they're buying the one

Louise made yeah they they came for the journey and the story and now they're buying that it's like why people buy like you know [ __ ] the jacket Michael Jackson Warren Thriller music video like yeah it's worth a million dollars it's like it's just a [ __ ] jacket but Michael Jackson wore it in a music video and actually I'm not even sure if it was the one they just told me it was yeah I think that's something I find it hard toize because I'm not a really a consumerist like I couldn't give a [ __ ] you know who touched the jacket or like if they signed it no yeah no I'm the same I'm I would never had was like um like consistency and posting like more to

the basics is like is it really like a how many times I should be posting a week or a day or things like that yeah we um we're a company who believes in quantity over quality or quantity that leads to Quality is what we think of so like we think the more you do the better because actually none of us really understand what is good content we just like there's a few people in the world who are [ __ ] great at making content like Mr Beast knows when a video he knows his videos will go off but like you and I don't know that we're not we don't have enough time in it we haven't spent enough money figuring it out as a company we're probably

better than most because we put so much out but my advice to people like how much can you realistically do like if you can do one a day that should be bare minimum like do something day we we've done like at the peak of our content we did it as like sort of trial we're doing 10 every day 10 videos every single day on our social Chels and like it was probably a little bit too much but like we did it one there's other reasons why we did it and it worked but like I think like the sweet spot is somewhere between like two and four bits a day it's like that's the sweet spot where it's not too much that your audience gets turned

off because it's too much but it's also like enough to maximize viewership because like let's say you like let's say you did one video and you got one video a day and you got 40,000 views a day right but then you got you put out four videos a day but you only got 10,000 views a video for each of those videos so you still got 40,000 but only 10,000 people on each one those 10,000 people are way more loyal to you than the 40,000 at want a day because they're seeing you like four times a day every day they're really into you yeah and so you have a more loyal audience because of it like my Tik Tok is a lot smaller than our company

one but I have like two or so thousand people who come back all the time and they're all like my target ones they're like business owners Business Leaders whatever and they're really into what I do and I only need like I only need like 40 clients a year so having 2,000 of these people who are like super engaged with me and watch my three or four bits of content every day they they're like solid and like when I need to tap into them or need clients like that's really good for me so yeah my view is like to do to do a few like I I would at least try to get to one a day yeah um with that said like how we were

talking about the storyline well those four videos have to be part of the storyline or can it be like one is a storyline one is just like a random like ASMR type of video um yeah what are your thoughts yeah yeah think about it like this like like if you think about a movie you'll have you'll have the whole movie right so that's the whole car and then you'll have like different acts inside each of the movies so most movies are made up of like three acts you have like the introduction part of the act like getting to know the world you have like the main core of the the video which is like the meat of the actual transformation of the car and then

you got the N which is like the final boss and all the hurdles that you came over and then you get the final car comes out of it right so that's the three different series inside the main series of the car and then each of those series um you will then have individual videos which will be like um today I [ __ ] worked on I had to change the window wipers let's say right but sometimes if you think about a movie they'll have a scene that isn't actually pushing the narrative forward all it's doing is building the world like it'll just showcase like surround like the surrounding neighborhoods it'll show like um It'll like pan out and show like um the countryside or it'll just be

like a you know you might just have James Bond like playing poker and it's like I don't doesn't actually push the narrative forward but it teaches teaches me a little bit about James Bond and what he's doing um or it's like Harry Potter buying chocolate frogs off the the the the lady in the train right it's like it doesn't actually really push the narrative forward but like it set part of the scen up so you might have something that's like ASMR or something that is quite interesting it doesn't actually show anything changing but it just like sets the World building and the scene setting for the entire universe and people like oh that's cool that's cool bit to see yeah yeah yeah so yeah I'm

all for it short yeah that's good to know doing four story lines in one day like that's quite tough yeah too much actually it's too much it's too much I'm not even comfortable in front of the camera so I have like doing a voice over that was scary especially with the Aussie accent I was like I don't want people to hear that Yu Americans love the Aussie accent yes so I've Le I did not know that all right yeah it is a very funny thing like New Zealand and Australia our accents like rank high all the time on like American and like other weird country's like accent lless like they love it it's like I don't know sure yeah super random well I think cool

well that was great that was a fun little chat thanks for um jumping on the Pod that it's fine um that was really insightful like thank you for sharing your story
